This is the third version of my shopping list app with 150k+ downloads, a complete rewrite using the latest and greatest technologies Android had to offer in 2020.
Building on the original 2012 version and the 2013 UI overhaul, this version adds new functionality (prices, units, list colours, etc.) while keeping the app simple for casual users. This is, you can still just open it and start adding items without anything getting in your way, but more advanced features are there in expandable menus in case you are the kind of user who wants to see them and use them.
Certainly, nowadays there is no shortage of great apps for managing groceries, which renders this specific one a little bit less useful than back in the day, especially due to its lack of cloud support. Nonetheless, in addition to being a modest source of revenue, this app has often been a great playground to keep my Android skills up-to-date with the latest and greatest in the world of Android development, so there might be more versions to come in the future!
