The idea here was that the player would have to solve a mystery by chatting with different characters, all of them powered by ChatGPT. The game would resemble a real messenger application, and it would be launched with some chat history already present, which would provide the player with the first clues while also helping them feel immersed in the story.
I came up with this when ChatGPT first started to become extremely popular, but as I ran into different problems when working on the game, I eventually lost interest and stopped development altogether. Amongst others, I struggled to come up with an engaging, cohesive story; to create good "puzzles" that weren't too simple or repetitive; or to get ChatGPT to behave as I wanted it to. Not to mention how expensive my bill would have been if I had released the game to great acclaim!
All in all, I still think that this could be an interesting concept to explore, so I don't discard going back to this project at some point. But for now, it's another abandoned one to add to the pile.
