About the project

  • Creation date: 2016
  • Technologies: Android (Java)

I created this little Android game back in 2016 (based on a tiny HTML game I had just created), the idea being to play around with the canvas and the implementation of custom views on Android. Eventually, a few years later, I decided to publish it because why not.

The game is very simple, but it aimed to be entertaining and somewhat addictive, at least by the basic standards of the time.

Your goal is to keep the ball in the air for as long as possible by tapping on it. Each kick is a point, and if you fail to tap on the ball and it falls to the floor, then the game is over and the counter goes back to 0. In addition, if you manage to get to certain scores, then you can unlock new balls.

Eventually, I took it down from the Play store because I was required to upgrade its target Android version, which wasn't easy due to some questionable dependencies. And since it wasn't really that successful to start with, the best option for me was to remove it from Google Play entirely.
